The game went well, hard but clean.
Saracens had the first 5-10 minutes but conceded a penalty on 8mins - Saracens 0-3 Southmead. After that although still tackling everything that moved, Sara's couldn't get across Mead line. A beautiful off-load to full back Oakes by No 10 Cottrell gave Southmead an 8-0 lead after 15mins. Saracens penalty by 11 Brown made it Saracens 3-8 Southmead.
Half time 3-8 Southmead.
Penalty to Sara's on 50 mins = Saras 6-8 Southmead. Sara's had only 2 chances in 2nd half to score but were denied either by poor decision making or lack of kicker.
Full time 6-8 to Southmead.
